The Golden Globes are also exciting from a fashion perspective. Stars like Heidi Klum, Margot Robbie and Dua Lipa demonstrate the courage to use form and color.

The 81st edition of the Golden Globes, which took place on Sunday evening (local time) in Beverly Hills and produced numerous award winners, was once again a showcase of magnificent designer dresses. Stars such as Margot Robbie (33), Dua Lipa (28), Jennifer Lopez (54) and Heidi Klum (50), to name just a few, walked the event’s red carpet in top style – and showed courage with color and form.

“Barbie” star Margot Robbie, for example, stayed true to her fashion line from previous events and also chose a bright pink dress for the Golden Globes. The glittering, floor-length and tight-fitting gown comes from Giorgio Armani Privé, and Robbie’s stylist paired it with a matching tulle stole. She held back visually when it came to jewelry, but not in terms of price: she combined a ring with white and pink diamonds with diamond earrings – the value of the bling is according to “The Hollywood Reporter” to three million dollars.

Meanwhile, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez was adorned with delicate pink. Designer sisters Nicole and Felicia Chang’s strapless dress also reached to the floor, accompanied by a sweeping train. The other eye-catchers of her outfit: impressive applications on the arms in a rose petal look and jewelry from Maison Boucheron.

The trend colors and shapes

Showing little to no leg – this was suggested by other stars as a new trend: Musician Taylor Swift (34) chose a floor-length green dress in a metallic look from Gucci’s Sabato De Sarno. Riley Keough (34) did the same with a dress from Chanel with a floral pattern, in which a little skin was visible thanks to the slight transparency – as was the case with “Yellowjackets” star Christina Ricci (43) and her gown from Fendi.

Actress Issa Rae (38) set a highlight – also floor-length. She appeared at the Globes in a sparkling orange metallic dress by Pamella Roland, which caused a stir thanks to its mosaic look.

Meanwhile, Elle Fanning (25) opted for a fairytale vintage look. The strapless, white dress by Pierre Balmain with a lavish decorative bow made her walk the red carpet like a true princess and emphasized the noble pallor of the “The Great” star.

Dua Lipa showed up at the event in a true statement dress. The Schiaparelli creation had the singer gliding down the red carpet as a mermaid. Golden applications in a skeleton look provided that certain something.

In addition to black, another color dominated at the Golden Globes: Whether Julianne Moore (63), Selena Gomez (31), Rachel Brosnahan (33) or Danielle Brooks (34) – they all wore completely red outfits. This was also the case with Heidi Klum, who appeared together with her husband Tom Kaulitz (34).

However, unlike so many of her US colleagues that evening, she revealed a glimpse of plenty of leg thanks to a cutout in the voluminous skirt of her strapless corsage dress.
