Heidi Klum’s (50) Halloween costume was eagerly awaited. And she had come up with something very special for her big performance: She came to her famous party in New York as a peacock – and ten dancers from Cirque du Soleil formed her feathers.

Big appearance on the red carpet

Klum wore a blue costume with an elaborate headgear including a beak, the artists were dressed in green. On the red carpet of the location, the New York nightclub “Marquee”, the colorful group posed to transform themselves into a big, beautiful bird. Of course, the focus was on the hostess in her cobalt blue, skin-tight suit. The dancers also gave a small performance for the photographers and TV cameras.

The days before, Klum had been doing a lot of advertising, announcing a “gigantic” costume in interviews and saying that she would probably even have to have streets in Manhattan closed off. “Amazon Live” broadcast the transformation on Instagram. There, the mother of four initially misled the audience and appeared for a long time in a red cape.

Her idea: “We would all become one”

The model has been organizing his Halloween party in the metropolis since 2000 and has shown off some sensational costumes. In an interview with “People” magazine on the red carpet She explained on October 31 how this year’s costume came about: “I wanted to do a costume with lots and lots of people. I wanted to have a lot of people and we would all become one. And for me that was one thing – in my opinion after the peacock.” She even flew to Cirque du Soleil in Montreal to find out how she could bring everyone together. “My feet have a different pattern, so my feet merge with his legs,” she explained, emphasizing how important their placement was to the tones of her costume. Every movement had to be on the red carpet in order to create a coherent overall picture.

The guests were also creative

As in previous years, Klum’s husband Tom Kaulitz (34) was also included in her costume. He came as a peacock egg and was barely recognizable in disguise. Many other guests – including several German acquaintances – also made an effort to keep up with the Halloween party: Kaulitz’s twin brother Bill came as a unicorn, Klum’s daughter Leni (19) as a strawberry tart. Tokio Hotel member Georg Listing (36) and influencer Riccardo Simonetti (30) both chose the same costume: Water King Triton. The “Germany’s Next Top Model” winner of the year, Vivien Blotzki (22), paid homage to pop queen Madonna and Klum’s friend Thomas Hayo (54) came as “Neo” from the Matrix film.
