How nice!

Annika was in mortal danger after a dramatic birth

A few weeks ago, the “Das Boot” actor and his sweetheart revealed that Jianni’s delivery did not go as planned. Even the way to the hospital became a nightmare, as Annika reported to “Frau im Spiegel”: “Heinz and I made our way to the clinic in Wernigerode. Suddenly the right front tire of our car burst at 90 km/h on the highway.” Therefore, the couple would have contacted a friend who eventually took the parents-to-be to the hospital.

On site, the 37-year-old had been in labor for 13 hours, and suddenly there were complications. The placenta did not detach. Therefore, the placenta should be removed under short anesthesia, but Annika lost so much blood that she was in mortal danger. “I was unimaginably scared for my beloved wife. I hoped and prayed: ‘Anni, don’t give up now!’ She kept fighting and made it,” revealed the 71-year-old. Later, the treating physicians said to Annika that her “life was on the razor’s edge”. At home she was finally able to recover from the hardships and now enjoys her family happiness to the fullest.
