Nena was harshly criticized for statements at a concert in Berlin. Heinz Rudolf Kunze also finds their behavior “irresponsible”.
Musician Heinz Rudolf Kunze (64) sharply criticized his colleague Nena (61) and accused her of “irresponsible behavior”. The reason: At a concert by the singer in Berlin at the end of July, not the entire audience adhered to the Corona requirements. There was a video recording circulating on social media in which Nena explains, among other things: “I am threatened here that they will cancel the show because you do not go into your boxes.” However, she leaves it to her fans “whether you do that or not”. And: “Everyone is free to decide, just as everyone is free to decide whether or not to be vaccinated.”
There was then a lot of criticism of Nena. And Kunze is now attacking the 61-year-old for it: “I condemn it in the strictest possible terms,” he said in the “Bosbach & Rach – Die Wochenester” podcast of the “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger”. If Nena wants to risk her own concerts, that’s her business. “She probably has enough money to be able to afford it. But her irresponsible and blind behavior not only endangers her own concerts, but also those of all of us.”
“Approach the matter gratefully and humbly”
In the “Weekly Tester” podcast, in which the “RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland” (RND) is also involved, Kunze also spoke about Helge Schneider (65). The musician had previously canceled appearances in the “Strandkorb Open Air” series: “It’s Helge’s business if he is not satisfied with the circumstances and he is not comfortable with them,” said Kunze and added: “But: I also have a drive-in cinema -Played concerts without making fun of the people sitting behind sheet metal. I’m happy when the headlights flash and the windshield wipers move. And when the horns go off as a sign of applause. All of this is better than nothing . ” You have to “approach the matter a little gratefully and humbly”.
Helge Schneider broke off a “Strandkorb Open Air” concert in July because he felt disturbed by catering staff, as he later made clear. They always brought drinks to the guests and walked around directly in front of the stage. It was later announced that the 65-year-old is canceling all appearances in the “Strandkorb Open Air” series.
