Helene Fischer: These are the milestones in your career

After a long break, Helene Fischer is back with her album “Rausch”. Another milestone in her career.

Helene Fischer (37) is currently attracting attention with many headlines: comeback, new album, pregnancy, a show with Stefan Raab (54). Her new long player “Rausch” will be released on October 15th – four years after her last self-named album. Helene Fischer can look back on many milestones that repeatedly brought new heights for the star. Her talents as a singer, presenter and entertainer have brought the 37-year-old to the hit throne.

From musical actress to pop star: With talent to success

Helene Fischer’s life is one big success story. Even at school she took part in theater groups and musical courses. So it’s no wonder that she trained as a musical actress in Frankfurt. Even then she received numerous engagements as a singer. One year after graduating in 2003, Fischer signed a record deal. The first TV appearance was also not long in coming. In 2005 she sang a duet with Florian Silbereisen (40) in the show “Hochzeitfest der Volksmusik”, and the following year she released her debut album “From here to infinity” – her first milestone. Although the album did not yet reach the top positions in the charts, it was still at number 19 on the German charts.

The final breakthrough came in 2007: After Fischer had already impressed SWR4 in the “MDR Hitsommernacht” and at the “Schlagermarathon”, she started her first solo tour. Her second album “As near as you” made it to number five in the German charts. In addition, she was awarded the Folk Music Crown as “Most Successful Singer of 2007”. Helene Fischer had reached hit heaven.

First “best of” after only a few years of career and own TV show

The year 2008 also held many successes in store for Helene Fischer. In May, her relationship with her colleague Florian Silbereisen became public – the German hit’s new dream couple was born. But the singer did not rest after that, on the contrary: her third album “Zaubermond” reached number two in the charts, followed by numerous open-air concerts and a major tour. In January 2009 the Krone der Volksmusik followed again, in February the first two echoes. For the fourth year in a row, Fischer also released a long player: “The way I am” landed on second place in the charts.

After a career of only four years, Helene Fischer’s first “Best of” album was released in 2010. The next milestone followed in 2011: The pop singer finally conquered the chart throne with her fifth studio album “For a day”. A gold record followed in Germany after just two weeks. Helene Fischer also made a name for herself with the long player beyond the German-speaking world. The plant was in the top 20 in the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark. In addition, she presented her own successful “Helene Fischer Show” in the first for the first time. The show, broadcast annually on Christmas Day, switched to ZDF in 2013.

Over the years, Helene Fischer received support from her then partner Florian Silbereisen. “For me, home is not a place, but a feeling. When I’m with Florian, then I’m at home,” she made him a declaration of love in 2017 in an interview with the “Stern”.

One chart success after another

With the sixth studio album “Farbenspiel” she achieved an even greater success in 2013 than with the previous albums: The long player was number one in the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He also landed in the top ten in Denmark and the Netherlands and also number one in the German annual album charts. In November, Helene Fischer’s biggest hit so far followed: “Breathless through the night” was not only well received by the hit audience. The song was also played in various remixes in clubs and on mainstream radio.

In 2015, she achieved another coup: Helene Fischer dusted off four echoes in the categories Schlager, Hit of the Year, Album of the Year and Music DVD / Blu-ray nationally. More than 800,000 fans celebrated her on her “Farbenspiel” stadium tour, during which she once again proved that she can not only sing, but also dance and entertain.

Shortly before the end of the year, their album “Christmas” was released, which even topped the 2015 annual charts. The successful course continued in 2016: Once again, Helene Fischer received four echoes. She also celebrated great success with the German version of the song “How Far I’ll Go” from the Disney film “Vaiana”.

In 2017 the singer repeated the chart success of her previous album “Farbenspiel” with “Helene Fischer”: three times number one in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The decoupled singles “Nur mit dir”, “Herzbeben” and “Achterbahn” also made their way into the charts. And not only that: Helene Fischer also triumphed in the annual charts with the long player.

Most successful non-English speaking singer

Again she went on an extensive tour in 2017 and 2018. The “New York Times” published a ranking in 2018 that compared the concert income of various artists. In eighth place, Fischer was the most successful non-English-speaking singer.

At the end of 2018, Helene Fischer then dropped a bomb: She announced that Florian Silbereisen and she would go their separate ways in the future. At the same time, she made public that she was in a relationship again: With aerial acrobat Thomas Seitel, whom she had met through her stage shows.

In the hit world, this news made headlines again and again. Seitel, who rarely shows up in public, surprisingly spoke up in 2019. The reporting burdens him, he said to the “ZEITmagazin”. A “mole” forwarded the separation message to the media. Then it was clear to them: “Now you have to act. Helene and Florian above all” in order to “counter false speculations from the start”. Seitel’s phone never stood still. “That was a great stress test that got on my nerves.”

International success with “Vamos a marte”

Helene Fischer, who appeared regularly in public in previous years, withdrew. She only made exceptions to her break for an emotional appearance at Silbereisen’s “Schlagerboom” 2019, a few private concerts and the “Helene Fischer Show” in December. In 2020 it remained quiet about the singer – also because of the corona pandemic. It wasn’t until July 2021 that she started a mysterious countdown that should lead to international success.

A little later it was clear: a new album would be released, and Helene Fischer announced a single with Latin pop star Luis Fonsi (43). At the beginning of August she released the new song “Vamos a marte”, with which she celebrated international success for the first time. The single rose to the worldwide rating of the “Billboard Global 200” charts.

And it should go on with big steps: On August 20, 2022, Helene Fischer is planning the biggest concert of her career to date. Before that, she will be on TV. On October 16, Fischer will present her new album in the music film “In the intoxication of the senses” (9:45 pm, ZDF). In addition, the show “Helene Fischer – An Evening in Rush” produced by Stefan Raab will be shown on November 12th (8:15 pm, Sat.1). Helene Fischer’s plans cannot be stopped by her pregnancy, which was confirmed in October.
