On Saturday afternoon, a paraglider crashed in alpine terrain in Annaberg-Lungötz. After taking off, the 48-year-old noticed that the lines on his paraglider were caught.
The man tried to land, but the wind carried the 48-year-old to a height of around 80 meters. Due to the rapid loss of height, he missed the intended green area and fell into an opposite slope. As a result, he sustained injuries of an unspecified degree and, after receiving initial care from the Red Cross, had to be transferred to the Kardinal Schwarzenberg Clinic in a rescue helicopter.
