On Saturday afternoon there was an accident between two moped drivers on a municipal road in Pischelsdorf am Kulm (Weiz district). A 15-year-old from the Weiz district suffered serious injuries.
At around 3:45 p.m., the 15-year-old was driving his moped on the municipal road in the direction of the town exit. At this point, a friend of the boy’s same age drove away on his moped. The 15-year-old from the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district in front reduced his speed as he exited the town. The boy following behind was no longer able to brake in time, hit his friend’s moped and crashed into the metal post of a fence. The teenager was seriously injured as a result of the impact. After initial treatment, the team from the Christophorus 16 rescue helicopter took the casualty to the LKH Graz/Children’s Surgery. The second person involved remained uninjured.
