Hella von Sinnen said of her late friend Dirk Bach: “I can’t tell you how much I miss this man.”

In an interview with the “Bunte” magazine, comedian Hella von Sinnen (63) spoke about the death of her best friend Dirk Bach (1961-2012). The entertainer died around ten years ago on October 1st at the age of just 51. She is now 63 years old and has spent 30 years of her life with Bach. “We lived together, worked together. The world has become so shitty since he left. I can’t tell you how much I miss this man,” says von Sinnen.

She further explains that she does not want to mourn, but to repress. She describes herself as the “queen of repression”. She finds comfort in contact with her ex-partner Cornelia Scheel (59): “We love each other just as much as we used to. Conny has a new great wife and a funny dog. We do a lot together and she is still my manager.”

Stars and friends remember in a book

A new book about jungle camp moderator Dirk Bach will be published on the tenth anniversary of his death in 2022. Stars and companions remember him in it, above all Hella von Sinnen. Among other things, school friends and costume designers wrote personal letters to Dirk Bach, supplemented with photos from his life. “Dear Dicki” will be available from September 13, 2022. The book is published by Hella von Sinnen and Cornelia Scheel.

The comedian became known in the 1990s for his “Dirk Bach Show”, and he was also seen in the series “Lukas” and “The Little Monk”. The jungle camp finally helped him to his cult status as a moderator. Dirk Bach moderated the format “I’m a star – get me out of here!” from 2004 to 2012 alongside Sonja Zietlow.
