As the Paris Olympic Games approach, everything is in place so that visitors, but also residents of the Ile-de-France region, can purchase and validate their transport tickets electronically. After adding the purchase of Navigo tickets and packages to the Maps application on iPhone or even Transport public Paris 2024, it is Bonjour RATP’s turn to provide this functionality.
By opening the Tickets menu, Bonjour RATP now displays three sections: On my iPhone + On my Apple Watch to buy and store tickets/packages, and On my Navigo pass to recharge your card.
On my iPhone And On my Apple Watch more specifically allow you to acquire, in particular thanks to Apple Pay, the following titles:
- Navigo Month (zones 1-5)
- Navigo Week (zones 1-5)
- Navigo Day (with choice of zones)
- T+ ticket books (full and reduced price)
- Single T+ tickets
- Orlybus and Roissybus tickets
- Special passes (Navigo Youth Week-end, Anti-pollution package, etc.)
For other Navigo tickets and packages (monthly and annual), the Île-de-France Mobilités app remains in the ascendant. However, Bonjour RATP leaves some hope, given that the end of patch note emphasizes that “other titles are unfortunately not available at the moment”.
Please note that purchasing and validating tickets using the app is reserved for owners of an iPhone running iOS 17.5, the latest update from Apple.
