Henry Cavill: He would like to be the next James Bond

Who will be the new James Bond? Henry Cavill brings himself back into play. The actor is said to have been in the selection before.

With "No Time to Die" (release: November 12th) actor Daniel Craig (52) says goodbye to the cult role of James Bond. It is not yet officially known who will be his successor. Now the British actor Henry Cavill (37, "The Witcher") for the role of the British secret agent 007 has brought up the conversation again.

"If Barbara (Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, editor's note) and Mike (co-producer Michael G. Wilson) were interested in it, I would definitely take the opportunity," he said in an interview with "GQ" . "It's all pending now. We'll see what happens. But yeah, I would love to play Bond, that would be very, very exciting," continued Cavill.

Maybe it will work this time. It would be his second attempt at the famous role. He auditioned for it at the age of 22. In "James Bond 007: Casino Royale" (2006), however, it is known that another prevailed.
