New tragic twist in the Magali Blandin affair. In February 2021, the 42-year-old young woman disappeared in Ille-et-Vilaine, in Montfort-sur-Meu. The police then launched an appeal for witnesses to find the specialized educator. A month later, her ex-companion, Jérôme Gaillard had confessed to having killed the young woman with a baseball bat. THE body of the victim was then found buried a month after his disappearance, in a Boisgervilly wood, not far from the husband’s home.
Arrested by the police, the ex-companion of Magali Blandin then died by hanging himself in his cell on the night of October 31 to November 1, 2021. Suspected of helping their son in his crime, Monique and Jean Gaillard, respectively 72 and 75 years old, were indicted for alleged complicity in the feminicide of their daughter-in-law Magali Blandin. Imprisoned at the same time as their son in pre-trial detention, they had spent eight months in prison after being re-indicted for complicity in murder.
