A mum had to clean up after her son threw up when they were at the supermarket. An unacceptable situation for her. So, was it the store staff to clean or the mom? A hotly debated topic…

Children can sometimes upset everything in their path, whether in restaurants or in stores, they can be real tornadoes. Some businesses have already positioned themselves on the subject: more children allowed in their establishment. And we can say that the parents have a lot of trouble accepting this kind of decision, they see it as a form of injustice. Rightly so, but the owners prefer to highlight the fact that the presence of children in their establishment degrades the experience of other customers. In other situations, the bosses ask that parents clean up after their children…

This is what happened to a mum who was at the supermarket with her two children aged two and five. Her son, the younger of the two, suddenly fell ill while they were queuing for the cash register. He vomited on the floor and on him, the mother immediately tried to control the situation by comforting her sick son. She immediately apologized to the staff and asked if someone could clean up but the answer was clear: it was up to the mother to take care of it.

She had to clean and take care of her children at the same time

The situation quickly became unmanageable for the mother who told her story anonymously to the Daily Mail. The staff brought her something to clean up and the mother had to comply. She explains : “We were near the main entrance which opened onto a busy road. I started cleaning, and the employee told another person to stay there to make sure I was cleaning, meanwhile, my son was getting dangerously close to the front door and the cars.” She says that her children were particularly turbulent at that time despite the illness of one of them. She then had to finish scanning her groceries at the self-checkout and finally leave the premises.

She very quickly told her story and opinions were divided. On the one hand, some Internet users do not understand why the mother managed everything on her own and why she was not helped by the staff. And on the other side, netizens pointed out that parents should always take responsibility and clean up after their kids no matter what. A hotly debated topic…
