Here are all the prices and equipment of the new affordable electric Citroën ë-C3

A few weeks after its reveal, the new Citroën ë-C3 now tells us a little more about its prices as well as its range. And the low-cost electric city car keeps its promises with an entry ticket under 25,000 euros.

Who said electric cars were very expensive? If the prices are for the hour higher than those displayed for equivalent thermal models, This is slowly changing. Which should reassure some motorists and encourage them to take the plunge.

Promise kept

More and more manufacturers are launching into the market for very low-cost electric cars. We think of Renault with its R5 E-Tech and its Twingo Legend, but not only that. And for good reason, for the moment, it is above all Citroën which has taken the furthest lead since the French firm is the first to market his city car for less than 25,000 euros. This is the ë-C3, which will directly compete with the Dacia Spring.

Announced around 23,000 euros When it was revealed a few weeks earlier, this new arrival had not yet given more details on its price range. And now it’s a done deal as we can see on the brand’s official website.

In total, two finishes will be offered for this new arrival on the market, namely You and Max. The first starts from 23,300 euros, a price which does not take into account the ecological bonus of 5,000 euros, which will therefore only give 18,300 euros. The superior finish is displayed at 27,800 euros, or 22,800 euros once the aid has been deducted. Note that the latter could increase to 8,000 euros for the most modest next year.

For comparison, the Dacia Spring is currently displayed from 20,800 euros, or 15,800 euros once the bonus is deducted. Suffice to say that the two city cars will have a lot to do, but the little new one with the rafters still leaves with a slight advantage: its manufacture in France. This will allow it to continue to benefit from state aid next year, unlike its rival produced in China for whom the bonus will stop on December 15.

Complete equipment

This will also allow it to be eligible for social leasing at 100 euros per month promised by the government and already offered via an offer from Cetelem. But what will we be entitled to with this new Citroën ë-C3 at a very low price? Obviously, we expect the allocation to be minimal. However, this is actually not the case at all! The entry-level You finish is even rather generous, since it comes standard with LED lights, suspensions with progressive hydraulic stops as well as the cruise control/speed limiter.

That’s not all, since the prize also includesrear parking assist, electric front windows, speed limit sign recognition and lane keeping assist. However, you must opt ​​for the Max finish to benefit from 10.25 inch touch screen with navigation as well as reversing camera and automatic air conditioning. Wireless induction charging is also part of the equipment on this version.

Citroën ë-C3

As a reminder, this new electric city car, which will also compete with the BYD Seagull as well as the future Volkswagen ID.1, currently offers only one version. The latter is equipped witha 113 horsepower electric motor and achieves 0 to 100 km/h in 11 seconds. All for a speed limited to 135 km/h. The ë-C3 has a 44 kWh LFP (lithium – iron – phosphate) battery offering a range of up to 320 kilometers, compared to 230 for the Dacia Spring.

Recharging from 20 to 80% takes place in just 26 minutes on an 83 kW direct current terminal, such as the Peugeot e-208. The first deliveries are planned for the beginning of next year, while it is rumored that an even more affordable version priced at less than 20,000 euros should arrive a little later.
