Pavil’s Face

Jérémy Perrodeau’s comic strip is as aesthetically original as it is touching. A favorite, certainly, for a work tinged with mystical science fiction.

After his ship crashes, an Empire scribe is welcomed into the village of Lapyoza. Unable to leave immediately, he must integrate, carry out tasks, understand local rituals. Among them, there is a large and strange totem whose face is regularly changed; and funny artifacts that must be recovered from the water. A story of exploration, whose unusual graphic style contributes to a very beautiful object.

When science fiction is used to tell about our solitudes, it gives Astra Nova. Lisa Blumen delivers a particularly sensitive and touching story.

The heroine, Nova, is about to board a ship that will take her to another planet, 2.5 million light years from Earth. It’s a one-way trip. Before departure, a party is necessarily organized with loved ones. Problem: to prepare for this lifelong goal, Nova no longer really has anyone close to her. She then invites old friends for one last evening. An original and disturbing work.

Frontier

Adventure story and rush for the stars, on the program of this comic book by Guillaume Singelin.

At the heart of Frontier, a trio: Ji-soo, scientist in search of new discoveries; Camina, fiery mercenary; Alex, a miner belonging to a generation that has never known Earth. Comics focus on exploration and address political, economic, social and ecological issues. The graphic design incorporates originality: the characters seem very small compared to the immensity of space.
