Unfortunately, holidays organized as a family, alone, as a couple or with friends do not prevent us from experiencing some small inconveniences. Some of you may have already experienced a breakdown on the highway or a fast lane. Already that it’s not funny and that it delays us, the cost of troubleshooting generally costs candy.

Of new rates in this regard have been communicated by the government, fixed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty. This concerns people immobilized on a motorway or an expressway and who unfortunately do not have an insurance contract that covers this type of expense. Watch your eyes, the prices bite.

What are the new rates for motorway repairs?

On July 4, the Official newspaper published the recovery and towing rates light vehicles, on motorways or expressways. After the revision of prices by the government, set by the decree of June 27, 2023, the latter have increased by 4.72%.

As a result, the recovery-towing package no longer costs 138.01 euros but 144.52 euros. This tariff concerns a vehicle of less than 1.8 tonnes, being immobilized on a motorway, fast lane or even a rest area. Pay attention to the timetables! If you call a tow truck week endspublic holidays or between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m., the package changes to €178.70 (against 170.65 before). Prices also vary. depending on weight of your vehicle. If it is between 1.8 and 3.5 tonnes, the breakdown recovery-towing package amounts to 178.70. Better to have your car checked before you leave.
