On December 1, the Prudential Control and Resolution Authority (ACPR) gave the green light to the takeover of assets and liabilities linked to HSBC’s retail activity in France by My Money Group, according to information from our colleagues at The gallery.

What changes on January 1, 2024

In total, nearly 800,000 customers are affected by this change. The long-awaited letter detailing the upcoming changes arrived and MoneyVox was able to obtain it.

The sale of HSBC Continental Europe’s personal banking activity in France will be effective on January 1, 2024. From this date, the services we provide to you will be provided by the CCF, states the letter.

In this document, new CCF clients also received a new RIB, BIC and an identifier in order to connect to their bank remotely. On the other hand, no immediate change for bank cards. Customers will keep their cards until they are renewed during the first half of 2024. They will then receive a CCF card but will keep the same confidential code.

Checks placed will be automatically flows on the new CCF account from January, until receipt of the new checkbook. The HBSC also specifies that it will have to be ordered from January.

Customers will be able to continue using their Online Payments code without interruption but are asked to memorize it. In fact, they will no longer have access to their customer area from December 29 at 7 p.m. The CCF customer area will be accessible from January 2.

HSBC also informed its customers in October that major organizations such as administrations and energy suppliers will be automatically notified of the change of bank domiciliation.
