The next Disney Lorcana cards have just been revealed with a nice extra surprise for the 100th anniversary of Disney. Get ready, because the competition will be tough.
Disney fans all have one or more favorite licenses that they remember fondly. With Disney+, it is very easy to dive back into these beautiful memories. The American giant knows that its audience is ready to break the bank for new content around the films and characters they love. This explains the immense success of Disney Lorcana, the new collectible card game released this summer. After Chapter 1 quickly sold out due to high demand, Chapter 2 has just revealed its new cards. Again, all fans should jump on it when it launches.
Disney Lorcana Chapter 2 Revealed
The official Disney Lorcana website officially revealed the name of chapter 2 of the collection: Rise of the Floodborn. It will contain 200 cards from legendary Disney franchises. The new licenses to arrive in this pack are Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Winnie the Pooh, Zootopia, The Jungle Book, Pinocchio, Raya and the Last Dragon and Basil, Private Detective. We can already discover the magnificent visuals of Winnie or Tiana’s cards. Some characters like Belle or Gaston, already present in the first chapter, also appear with a new design. If you are one of those who play in addition to collecting, know that a resistance stat now appears on the cards. It allows the targeted character to reduce the damage received by the indicated amount.
There are several ways to get your hands on cards from this set. The starter decks include 60 cards, the minimum to start playing, as well as a booster. Booster packs contain 12 random cards to gradually complete your collection. Added to this is the Illumineer’s Trove set with its two deck boxes and eight Boosters.
A special edition with unique cards
Finally, on the occasion of the 100e anniversary of Disney, a special Disney Lorcana: Disney100 Edition set will be marketed. It will contain six cards from each of the first two chapters. They will, however, have an alternative design with a satin holographic finish. As with the first Disney Lorcana collection, the Rise of the Floodborn set will first be released in specialized points of sale November 17 before a general launch on December 1. You will also have to wait until this date to collect the Disney100 Edition. Everything risks going away very quickly, especially this collector’s edition which should cost quite a lot. We really advise you to stay on the lookout for the opening of pre-orders from each reseller so as not to be left on the sidelines. Remember that Ravensburger will market a new batch of Chapter 1 in the first quarter of 2024 for those who missed it.
