This Thursday, November 30 will go down in the history of the electric car. Tesla delivered the first Cybertruck, the famous electric pickup truck which was unveiled in 2019. The conference was short and Elon Musk presented some new information. But the most interesting thing is ultimately on the Tesla site.
The latter has been updated with all the technical characteristics, ranges and prices of the different versions of the Cybertruck. The entry-level version (Propulsion) will only be available in 2025, and its price has increased significantly since 2019, going from $39,990 to $60,990! The autonomy has melted like snow in the sun, since this version is satisfied with 402 km.
The mid-range version of the electric pickup is the All-Wheel Drive, with 547 km of range for $79,990. Finally, the Cyberbeast version, with its three electric motors, promises 515 km of autonomy, for a selling price of $99,990. Please note, these are prices excluding taxes, as usual in the United States.
If you think that the ranges are too low, Tesla has thought of you, with the range extender. The principle ? An external battery which takes place in the dumpster, and takes up approximately 1/3 of it. Enough to add around 200 km of additional autonomy. Let us clarify that we are talking here about autonomy on the American EPA cycle.
If the Cybertruck were ever sold in Europe (which is not at all certain), approximately 10% of autonomy would have to be added to obtain the WLTP value.
The Tesla pickup is not limited to this series of figures, since it is aimed at both professionals and individuals. It allows you to power devices (and even entire houses) thanks to its battery and the Powershare function. You can go camping in a tent specially designed to fit on the Cybertruck bed.
The interior is completely unusual, with its two huge screens. As enormous as the dimensions of the pickup, which would be difficult to pass on a European road. But fortunately, the rear wheel steering allows you to turn shorter than a Tesla Model S!
