The official presentation date of the Xiaomi 14 series has been revealed. So see you in a few days to discover those who will try to be the first smartphones equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

We knew they were coming soon, but now we know the exact date and time of the announcement. So, no surprise, the official presentation of the Xiaomi 14 is imminent. On its official Weibo account, the manufacturer shares a visual revealing the information.

The Xiaomi 14 series will therefore be unveiled on Thursday October 26, 2023 at 7 p.m. in China (Beijing time) – or 1 p.m. in Paris. As you can imagine, the timing is not at all chosen at random. It is at the same time – from October 24 to 26 – that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit is being held, during which the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 should be presented.

In other words, Xiaomi wants to ensure that it is among the very first manufacturers – if not THE first – to ship the new high-end chip. The Chinese brand has accustomed us to this type of strategy supposed to improve its brand image. If the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have the scoop on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, this will give them a little extra marketing argument to make.

Be careful though, just because Xiaomi has announced the date of its conference does not mean that no other brand will try to pull the rug out from under its feet.

Note also that the announcement takes place earlier than ever, from the end of October. Typically, announcements of the latest Snapdragon chip and Xiaomi’s flagship take place towards the end of the year, but the schedule has gradually moved forward.

In the meantime, the power unlocked by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is not the only quality that can be highlighted. The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro also promise great things in terms of photography in partnership with Leica.

Finally, know that this is a conference which will be dedicated to the Chinese market. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are only expected to arrive in Europe from 2024.
