Xiaomi publishes the list of smartphones and tablets that will soon upgrade to HyperOS. This is the Android interface which will replace MIUI next year.

It has been announced for several weeks now, the MIUI interface is on borrowed time and will be gradually replaced by HyperOS, the new Xiaomi-style version. As recalled Android Authorityit is only available in China, but the brand has presented a few models which will be available in other regions.

It is on that Xiaomi has published the list of Xiaomi smartphones that will upgrade to HyperOS during the first half of 2024:

These updates will be gradually deployed and the announcement of the next models eligible for them will be made little by little. We also learn about Poco’s account that the Poco F5 will also have the right to HyperOS, without us knowing the update date. Same thing for other products which will be compatible, you have to be patient.

What HyperOS has to offer

HyperOS is a new Android overlay, and is considered the successor to MIUI. Based on Android 14, this interface intends to change design, but not only that. Multitasking mode will be improved, with suggestions for windows to open in the form of bubbles. The interface is further optimized for foldable smartphones, notably with two bars to change applications or return to the home screen.

The control center, if it is not revolutionized, reviews its copy, with changes to the location of the buttons, in order to highlight the most used. Xiaomi also wants you to connect all your devices together, including via a dedicated app. More generally, the philosophy of the interface is to obtain a more organized result than MIUI, by reasoning the number of customization parameters. All for all devices, regardless of their screen size or format.
