here is the official simulator to find out if you are eligible

The official simulator is online and has been updated. In fact, even if the simulator switched to the 2024 version late this week, the 2023 version available in recent days was valid since for 2024, the beneficiaries are the same as those eligible in 2023. Which does not prevent you from testing your eligibility on the simulator. How? By taking out your 2023 tax notice relating to your 2022 income.

For 2024, the beneficiaries are the same as those eligible in 2023: the Minister of Economy and Finance demonstrates simplicity on the official simulator that he has just put online on chequeenergie.gouv.fr. And for good reason: this year, exceptionally, all beneficiaries of the energy check in 2023 automatically remain beneficiaries in 2024. And Added to this are the new eligible households.

For what? Following a bug that initially excluded 1 million beneficiaries, due to eligibility calculated on the basis of housing tax. The latter having now definitively refocused on secondary residences, it is no longer difficult to identify housing, recognized the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire at the beginning of February. Result: the 5.6 million households eligible last year, whose reference tax income is therefore less than 11,000 euros per consumption unit, remain beneficiaries… and a million additional households should benefit.

Who is interested in checking their eligibility on the simulator?

For a large majority of beneficiaries, the energy check will automatically reach your mailbox during the month of April, sending it staggered by department, according to the schedule revealed this week by Bercy.
