During last night’s Nintendo Direct, Kirby and the Forgotten World was presented via a trailer that introduces us to transmorphism.
If Kirby and the Forgotten World was announced a long time ago, the game was still invited during the Nintendo Direct on February 9, 2022. We are thus entitled to a new trailer which presents us with a new ability of Kirby : that of swallowing absolutely huge objects, and taking advantage of their capacities. Called transmorphism, this ability will offer a nice depth to Kirby’s gameplay. As we see in the trailer, this will allow the little pink ball to do a lot of things. By swallowing a car, we will be able to move much faster, and even crush enemies. We can also swallow a vending machine, and thus spit out the cans like a machine gun. By swallowing a VLC cone, Kirby will transform into a jackhammer, while rolling a shovel to a boom lift will reach places traditionally out of reach.
Kirby and the Forgotten World
Examples abound, with a ring that acts as an engine, an arch that changes us into a hang-glider, and even a light bulb to walk through levels plunged into darkness. As you have understood, the possibilities seem quite extensive, and there is no doubt that this system will be put to good use in many situations in order to walk around the more open world that Kirby and the Forgotten World will offer. We also discover the improvements that it will be possible to buy at the Waddle Dee armory in order to develop Kirby’s attacks.
All about pink!
Thanks to the right scrolls, we can have fire powers, throw sharp discs, and even attack enemies with a huge sword. Each power will change Kirby’s look along the way, knowing that the powers can be improved to increase their effects. Remember that Kirby and the Forgotten World will be released on March 25 on the Nintendo Switch.
