Here it all begins: “A reconciliation is definitely possible between Vic and Hortense”, reveals Lou Ladegaillerie

Lou Ladegaillerie embodies Vic in “Here everything begins”. Sister enemy of Hortense and in love with Théo, the new recruit of the Institute does not lack resources to achieve her ends! His interpreter confides in the rest of his adventures …

In Here it all begins, the start of the 2022 school year at the Auguste Armand Institute was marked by the thunderous arrival of Vic among the first years. When she landed in the prestigious cooking school, the young girl did not make one happy in the person of Hortense (Catherine Davydzenka) who is none other than her big sister… Indeed, although from the same family, they don’t like each other at all!

Quickly, Vic nevertheless became friends with Samia (Emma Boulanouar) and Billie (Margaux Kembi Aguilar). She also didn’t take too long to fall under the spell of Théo (Khaled Alouach) for whom she would be ready for anything… Because yes, the protagonist played by Lou Ladegaillerie also has a dark side! For AlloCiné, the interpreter of Vic reveals the next adventures that await his character…

AlloCiné: The least we can say is that Vic does not lack imagination to achieve his ends in “Here everything begins”…

Lou Ladegaillerie: It’s true ! She’s creative… Like when she swaps CBD with real cannabis for Mehdi’s cake recipe (Marvin Pellegrino, editor’s note)! (laughs) Vic is quite clumsy because his goal was never to drug Hortense. She wants Theo to get her job back but she doesn’t realize the consequences of her actions. Thus, everything often turns to disaster…

So is Vic a bitch or misunderstood?

(laughs) A bit of both. She has a bitchy side because she’s only 18 and she doesn’t really measure the repercussions of her actions, but deep down, she doesn’t always want to do harm. She is misunderstood because she basically has an inferiority complex vis-à-vis her sister and their family past. You shouldn’t overwhelm him too much… But his behavior is borderline sometimes! (laughs)

What drives Vic to act so irrationally?

Vic is the little sister and has always felt below her sister. There is jealousy between them, as it can happen in real life. She has built a very strong character to stand out from Hortense. She felt less privileged compared to their parents. As a child, she therefore created sorts of patterns to manage on her own.

Hortense and Vic will soon come to blows in the series… Is reconciliation possible one day between them?

It is totally possible. Both want it. The moment when they come to blows is the climax of what has been happening since the start of the school year. They are in such a state of tension and there is so much left unsaid that it was bound to happen. Once this abscess is broken, reunions will be possible…

Are we going to see Vic and Hortense’s parents at the Institute?

This is not planned at the moment. They must first find each other before considering these great family reunions. Their parents are undoubtedly the source of their problems, what’s more… In the coming months, we should therefore rather expect a reconciliation between two.

What is your relationship with Catherine Davydzenka who plays Hortense?

She is awesome ! She really has a big sister role on the set. When I was able to have moments of doubt, I did not need to verbalize them because she understood me right away. She came to see me to answer my questions. She was really there for me.

As for Theo, he no longer wants to talk to Vic when he discovers his drug dealings. Can he give her a chance?

Vic will try to make amends because she is very, very in love with him. These feelings create a fragility in her. She’s used to being in control whereas here she becomes vulnerable… She says herself that she doesn’t know how to manage! Vic will therefore do everything to recover it. Théo is not insensitive to his charm either, a real relationship has been created between them. They are both very ambitious, determined and they pull each other up. We will also see it with the Halloween menu next week. They will put something in place together and the other members of the Circle will join them.

What will they develop for this famous Halloween menu?

With the Circle, Theo and Vic will try to create another Halloween menu for the Institute. They are the leaders within this secret group and they will succeed in uniting the others when it was not part of the initial project.

Is the love between Vic and Théo finally healthy?

(laughs) She’s crazy about him and again very clumsy because of it. They created a love thanks to their common passion which is cooking. In their personalities, many things also bring them together. They are both good for each other. I wish them a great love story because they have it all. These are two characters who can work well together… We’ll see if the public likes it.

Vic will also soon blackmail Enzo (Azize Diabate) and Axel (Thomas DaCosta)… Can you tell us more?

They are not close to her, she does not trust many people except Billie, Samia and Théo. Outside of that sphere… (laughs) She’s going to do things that aren’t very correct again!

Because of all her shenanigans, her friends will end up turning their backs on her… Will she regain their trust?

Vic has created very sincere relationships with Billie, Samia and Théo. They will try to understand it. It will be touching because they will take it as it is. We will see how she really is and discover her hidden side. She is very loyal to her girlfriends and her lover. She did all of this partly for them, not for herself. They will end up forgiving her and accepting her. It may also calm her down… It will be her redemption (laughs)

Finally, what to expect for the continuation of the Circle?

It’s a plot that will stay in ITC for a long time. Lots of characters will surface, we will understand how the Circle was created, by whom, why it was dissolved by Chief Armand and Teyssier (Benjamin Baroche, editor’s note)… Within this organization, Vic will keep a very important place due to its natural authority. Besides, she doesn’t leave much choice to others because she is the initiator of the project. Lots of things are going to happen and it’s going to be very interesting from a culinary point of view.

How have ITC fans received you?

We had two months of shooting before the broadcast. Everyone prepared me by telling me: “Your character is not going to come across as very likeable…” So I was recommended to expect a somewhat cold reception. Indeed, on social networks, it is quite hard! (laughs) But I also received a lot of very nice messages to tell me that Vic is adding spice to the series. People can’t wait to see what her next moves are going to be and others love to hate her… I received goodwill even though she’s a character who makes waves and who may not be liked. It will take time…
