Although she is hurt, she assures that everything will be fine for her. She’s lived her whole life without her dad, she’ll just keep doing it. Laëtitia (Florence Coste) doesn’t believe her daughter’s speech for a single second, but she and Salomé (Aurélie Pons) don’t know what to do to help her… They will simply try to be there for her. During Louis’ (Fabian Wolfrom) class, Kelly is obnoxious to her teacher. The young chef makes an appointment with him after class to talk about his behavior.

After class, Louis goes to see Laëtitia and Salomé and talks to them about Kelly’s behavior. He informs them of his intention to expel her from her course, if it were to happen again. Worried, Laëtitia defends her daughter and explains the situation to Louis. The previous week, Kelly met her biological father and the meeting went badly. At the agreed time, Kelly joins Louis in the kitchen. She apologizes to him and promises him that what happened will not happen again. Louis is understanding. He is fully aware of what she may feel, having experienced the same thing as her. Kelly replies. In her eyes, her story and that of Louis are very different. The young chef grew up in a comfortable castle. She had to stop school before she even learned to read to help her mother with cleaning. She thinks she and Louis have nothing in common.

Heartbroken by Anaïs, David creates a bad reputation

Excluded all the previous week, David (Liam Hellmann) has fallen behind in class and is struggling to follow the explanations of chef Guinot (Catherine Marchal). However, he does not dare to speak to his teacher about it and claims that Solal (Benjamin Douba) lent him his notes so that he could follow. For the evaluation the next day, Claire pairs David with Deva (Kathy Packianathan). The latter does not hide her disappointment. She is not reassured at the idea of working with him because of his delay. During practice, Deva notices that David is distracted and points it out to him. David explains to her that he is chatting with a young woman on a dating app, which pisses Deva off. She kicks him out, and David is quick to let her finish the recipe on her own…

David finds refuge in the pop-up restaurant, where he asks the brigade to make him a coffee. Anaïs (Julie Sassoust) finds it strange that he has already finished his day and asks him questions. David recounts what happened with Deva and takes it all lightly, but Anaïs thinks he is wrong. Enzo (Aziz Diabaté) too. He advises her to go apologize to Deva. From experience, he knows that it is not good to be cataloged as a “loafer” at the start of the year. Also, he thinks David went too far by choosing his studio session with Deva to talk to a girl on a dating app. David explains that he has been feeling bad since the rejection of Anaïs. Even if he says nothing so as not to ruin their friendship, he finds it difficult to think of anything else. For his part, Deva finishes the recipe and finds Tom (Tom Darmon) and Souleymane (Dembo Camilo) at the CDI. She tells them what happened with David and is exasperated. Because of him, she will have to work on the recipe all night…

Mehdi returns to the Institute, Théo decides to join the Circle

Before class, Vic (Lou Ladegaillerie) goes to see Théo (Khaled Alouach) in the park to find out whether or not he wants to join the Cercle. Much to his disappointment, Teyssier’s son (Benjamin Baroche) isn’t interested. The young chef doesn’t really like the idea of a secret club and doesn’t think it will help his already well-advanced career. Vic tries to convince him, in vain. A little further on, Samia (Emma Boulanouar) overhears Vic and Théo’s conversation. Realizing that her friend spoke about the Circle to Teyssier’s son, Samia gets angry and tells everything to Billie (Margaux Kaguilar).

At Double A, Theo surprises his father giving a private pastry lesson to Axel (Thomas DaCosta). He warns them: everyone already thinks that Axel is boosted, so this kind of course may not be doing him a favor. Far from being convinced, Teyssier sends his son for a walk. Theo replies that they have nothing to do in the kitchen anyway since the service is about to begin. Axel is accommodating and agrees to leave, but Teyssier stands up to his son and orders him to clear the floor. Meanwhile, Samia and Billie confront Vic about Theo. Vic confesses to having shown the secret room to Teyssier’s son, which infuriates Samia. She points out to him that Theo could put them in danger, if he revealed to his father the existence of the Circle. Vic certifies that none of this will happen. Not only is he not the type of Theo, but he will soon join the Circle, she is convinced of that. Moreover, she has a news to be forgiven. Ferigno, the starred chef and former member of Le Cercle, agreed to meet her at the coffee shop. Samia cannot hide her satisfaction…

At the time of the meeting, Vic and Billie find Ferigno at the coffee shop. The latter confirms having been a member of the Cercle in 1999. He explains that at the time, the members met outside of class to cook. They tested new things, experimented, it really contributed to making him the youngest starred chef in France. For him, the Circle is a support network that has allowed them to obtain the best internships and the most prestigious positions. Even today, this network helps them on a daily basis. Vic offers to relaunch the Circle at the Institute, but Ferigno has doubts. For him, it takes solid members, know-how, for the Circle to regain its former grandeur. It is not sure that three first-year students are up to the task. To reassure him, Vic claims that Theo has agreed to join the Circle. She even introduces him as their leader. Ferigno is impressed, but also amused. It would be surprising if Théo Teyssier revived the Circle, while his father and Auguste Armand (Francis Huster) were responsible for its dissolution…

Back at the Institute after his consultation in London for Chef Teyssier, Mehdi (Marvin Pellegrino) goes discreetly to meet Hortense (Catherine Davydzenka) and Eliott (Nicolas Anselmo) in the park. He hears his girlfriend say how much she has missed him and how much she wishes he would forgive her. Touched, Mehdi signals his presence by precisely granting him his forgiveness. Later, Teyssier interrupts the Double A service and forces Theo to take on Mehdi as pastry chef and second. Theo points out that his second is Greg (Mikael Mittelstadt), but Teyssier doesn’t care. Now he has two seconds, whether he likes it or not.

After the service, Vic goes to see Theo in the park and talks to him again about the Circle. By joining him, Theo could stand up to his father and finally exist without him. She explains to him that great leaders are still part of the Circle, despite the fact that her father and Armand tried to dissolve it. Chef Ferigno has even agreed to connect them to his network, if and only if Theo is part of it. At the end of the day, Vic, Samia and Billie meet in the secret room to cook. Their conversation is interrupted by Theo, who has come to join the Circle…
