Heroes of the Storm, nothing new for Blizzard’s MOBA

Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard, MOBA, update, content, end

Sad news for Heroes of the Storm players, the title will no longer receive content updates.

7 years after its release, Blizzard decides to put an end to Heroes of the Storm content updates. The MOBA bringing together the heroes of the various Blizzard franchises will always be maintained by development teams just like StarCraft and StarCraft II.

“We will continue with season changes and hero rotations. The in-game store will remain operational, but we no longer plan to add new purchasable content. Future updates will focus on patching and client durability, not to mention any necessary balances.”

For many players, Heroes of the Storm ended in 2018 when Blizzard announced the end of the competitive scene on the game. Despite new additions of heroes and skins, the title failed to attract a new audience. To thank all the players, Blizzard is giving away the rare mount skin: Arcane Lizard.

“We want to thank our Heroes community from the bottom of our hearts. You are still part of our most passionate communities. We are honored by your loyalty and unwavering support.”
