Here is very quick access from Google Maps to electric charging stations

Google Maps changes its behavior and provides quick access to related stations based on your vehicle’s energy.

Google Maps already serves electric vehicle drivers well. They can simply navigate to the nearest terminal, find out if it is compatible with their car, and its available charging speed. You can even know when the terminal was last used, which helps avoid broken stations.

To further facilitate the joint use of Google Maps and an electric vehicle, the Mountain View firm has deployed an update to its application which provides one-click access to all charging stations in the area.

A new “Charging stations” logo

All you have to do is go to your profile tab in the application, then in Settings. There, in the submenu Navigation settingswe access its Type of engine. By selecting Hybrid Or Electric, we change a menu in the Google Maps interface.

On the home page of the application, the Charging Stations logo is now displayed instead of Gas Stations. By selecting it, all the terminals available in the area on the screen are displayed.

No longer need to enter the expression Charging station in the search bar. At a moment’s notice, you can now access all the terminals in the area in one click. It’s pretty basic, but damn practical.

This function accompanies the visual overhaul of Google Maps. Be careful, it’s not spectacular. It is being modernized with small touches, notably more rounded corners and less cluttered cards to make them easier to read. To benefit from it, you must be running the latest version of Android. iOS users will be served later.
