“He’s the James Cameron of Youtube”: the documentary on Squeezie is revealed in a tantalizing trailer

Prime Video has just revealed the trailer for “Merci Internet”, a documentary series which looks back on the last ten years of the career of Youtuber Squeezie.

“You know Squeezie, the most followed videographer in France with more than 18 million subscribers on YouTube. But do you know Lucas? For 10 years, his friend and director Théodore Bonnet has filmed him during all his adventures, behind the scenes of a rise as dazzling as it was unexpected.”

This is the starting promise of Merci Internet, a new Prime Video production which will be launched on January 19. As with Never Show That to Anyone on Orelsan, this documentary series will take us into the intimacy of the YouTuber, chronicling his career since almost its beginnings.

The trailer revealed by Prime Video this weekend gives us a good overview. Théodore Bonnet called on numerous personalities and those close to Squeezie, including the duo Mcfly & Carlito, Lena Situations, Hugo Décrypte and other faces that we regularly see in his videos.

The man with 18 million subscribers on YouTube, who has since tried his hand at music and cinema, is not his first collaboration with the streaming platform. In 2021, he participated in the first season of the show Celebrity Hunted, a giant manhunt, in a duo with YouTuber Seb la Frite.

There is no doubt that Merci Internet will be a big hit for Prime Video next school year.
