Hideki Kamiya wants to make a Bayonetta 4 and a Bayonetta 5, and more

Waiting to find out if Bayonetta 3 is a commercial success, Hideki Kamiya continues to campaign for the existence of a sequel that would answer some questions about the witch’s latest adventure. If we will soon be entitled to a new Bayonetta game with Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demonwhose announcement took everyone by surprise, the Japanese creator actively wants to look into a Bayonetta 4, and more if you like.

Up to 9 Bayonetta games?

In a new interview with IGN, Kamiya spoke about the future of the series and its potential longevity if the public is still there, and if of course PlatinumGames and Nintendo want it:

Personally, I can’t imagine the Bayonetta series ending. I want to make a Bayonetta 4 and a Bayonetta 5, and I intend to pitch them to the company. We often talk internally about how we could make it nine episodes. I want people who love the Bayonetta series to believe me when I say, ‘I won’t do anything that will betray the players. »

9 Bayonetta may be a bit much, but we get the idea. Hideki Kamiya does not want to give up the license anytime soon, the success of the latter must still be assured, but that is another story.

As a reminder, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will be released on March 17, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
