In Unken there are currently 20 community citizens who are going through corona disease, in Lofer there are 15. At first this does not sound worrying. However, if you extrapolate the number of infections in the very small communities to 100,000 inhabitants, the results are high. The increased number of infections also affects the communities of St. Martin and Grossarl in Pongau. In Pinzgau the infection value on Monday was 146.3, in Pongau 98.3. The Zell am See district is still the district with the second highest number of infections in Austria (the “Krone” reported). The country announced tightened measures and special vaccination campaigns in the affected communities.
