It’s a twist in the business. This Monday, January 24, Margaux Lahaye was indicted for “tampering with witnesses” in the Jean-Luc Lahaye case. She is suspected of having pressured one of the two complainants during a previous judicial investigation.
Last November, Margaux Lahaye was placed in police custody at the same time as her father and the mothers of the two young women. However, she was discharged 24 hours later due to her health condition. She is now paraplegic since an accidental fall from two floors in 2019. For his part, Jean-Luc Lahaye was indicted on November 5 for “rape”, “rape of a minor over 15 years old”, “ sexual assault of minors over 15 years old”, “corruption of minors over 15 years old” and “abuse of a minor’s weakness”. He was, however, placed under the status of assisted witness for “possession of child pornography images” and “invasion of privacy by fixing images of a sexual nature”.
Jean-Luc Lahaye still in pre-trial detention
This is not the first indictment for the interpreter of “Woman I love”. In 2015, one of the complainants already accused him of rape and sexual assault. He had been given a one-year suspended prison sentence for “corruption of minors”. According to information from Parisian, Margaux Lahaye would have tried to silence one of them so that she withdraws her complaint. “The singer’s eldest daughter would have dictated the answers she had to give to the police. She would also have ordered him to install a secure messaging application to talk to his father. She even went so far as to organize a meeting in the Bois de Boulogne in order to put pressure on him before the trial”, informs the newspaper.
Facing investigators, she admitted to the charges, adding that she had been “manipulated and instrumentalized” By his father. However, she claims not to have been aware of the brutal sexual relations described by the victims, but to have been abused by her father by “bare hand chokeholds”. At present, Jean-Luc Lahaye is still in pre-trial detention.
