Spectacular accident including hit-and-run in the municipality of Lavamünd: After a 52-year-old lost control of his car and it came to rest on its roof, the driver pulled out – and simply left his injured passenger behind.
At around 7:00 p.m., the driver of his vehicle veered off the right of the road on the municipal road in Lavamünd in a wooded area for unknown reasons – the car came onto a steep embankment, overturned and ended up lying on its roof again on the road. Unsuccessful searchThe driver of the accident from the Wolfsberg district as well as his injured passenger still managed to free themselves from the car. But instead of alerting the emergency services, the 52-year-old called a friend, announced that he was fine and took off without his 20-year-old passenger, who he simply left injured at the scene of the accident. A search in the nearby area was unsuccessful, and the hit-and-run driver could not be found at his place of residence for the time being. A total of four fire departments (Ettendorf, Lavamünd, St. Georgen and Hart) as well as rescue and emergency doctors were on duty.
