How does the puzzle work?
The number door riddle is simple to understand. It is based on a code taking the form of two additions. To unlock the opening, you must find the two creature symbols associated with “? ” And ” ?? “. Each creature is linked to a number. To find the solution, you must therefore find the creature that allows you to obtain the number in the center of each triangle by adding.
In the example above, we need :
- Find the symbol “?” » which makes it possible to obtain 9 by adding 2, the number of the serpent with three heads and «? » ;
- Find the symbol “?? » which makes it possible to obtain 4 by adding 0, 1 and « ?? “.
Of course, you can hardly guess the number of the different creatures. Luckily, there is a handwritten page in the game that allows you to obtain the different associations.
Where can I find the index of symbols?
You can find the Creature Symbol Index by using the Floo Flame (Teleporter) labeled “Divination Room”, which is near the “Central Hall”. If you haven’t unlocked access, start from the “Central Hall” and go up the stairs — as shown in the map below.
