It’s undoubtedly one of the biggest games of 2023, Hogwarts Legacy blew up when it was released. The result is clear, the success is colossal and it still continues. With a release in February, Hogwarts Legacy has accumulated more than 22 million units sold in 2023, including 2 million during the holiday period. More than 12 million units in the first month of its launch. Needless to say, Warner is rubbing its hands vigorously and the publisher intends to step into the breach. The company is already preparing the sequel and several Harry Potter games should arrive soon. There is already “the ultimate Quidditch game” which will arrive soon, Quidditch Champions, a multiplayer game with attractive artistic direction. The objective here will certainly be to create a fan base and retain them over the long term.
A multiplayer service game made to last. But that’s not all. A Hogwarts Legacy 2 should certainly be on the horizon in the years to come, it would be very surprising if this were not the case. But many other projects are also in the works. Questioned on the subject by Variety, the President of Warner, David Haddad, simply teased by affirming that the upcoming projects will be very interesting and “will allow fans to be part of this universe, these stories and these characters with ever greater immersion”. We should therefore expect ever deeper experiences in the Harry Potter universe. Either way, we’re not done eating magic. But for now, there is only Hogwarts Legacy, the game is available on absolutely all platforms, no worries.
