Holcim has received interest from more than 30 potential buyers for its Russian business, which the cement maker is seeking to spin off due to the conflict in Ukraine, chief executive Jan Jenisch said Monday.
“The process has started, it has to be done very diligently. We have received many inquiries,” he told reporters. “We don’t expect to write it off completely, hopefully this business has value,” he added. “You have to give us a few months to get more clarity.”
Holcim said in March it was pulling out of Russia, where it employs about 1,500 people at three factories, following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
