His ad is starting to go up now, but Hollow Knight Silksong finally unveils new images at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. The game is slated for release on PC and Nintendo Switch, with a day one release on Game Pass.
This is a sequel to the game Hollow Knight which focuses on a secondary character: Hornet. Like its predecessor, it is a metroidvania with polished artistic direction and precise mechanics. Originally thought of as a simple DLC, the scope of the project quickly pushed Team Cherry to consider a stand alone. A boon for players who asked for more, but whose discretion is heavy.
Fortunately, by revealing its gameplay and its first environments during the Xbox Games Showcase, the game created a stir. Additionally, all of the games featured at this conference are expected to be playable within the next 12 months. A news that gives hope for a release before May 2023. But no range or precise date has been communicated for the moment.
