Eleven children were found in a home after a fire and emergency response in Washington. They were apparently abused and malnourished.

Eleven minors were found last Sunday in Washington in a house after the intervention of firefighters following a fire. When help arrived, they found the residence full of garbage and animal droppings, as well as spoiled food, KREM reports.
In their report, the firefighters explained that they had found eleven children inside the house, who appeared “to be at different stages of malnutrition and to have been abused”. When the emergency services asked the whole family to come out because of the fire, “a woman came and told us she did not want to open the door.” “Another guy came to help her, told us to stay away and suddenly the woman finally opened and all the children started to come out.” All were “very dirty” and wore clothes that were not suitable for winter, one of them even completely naked. After their discovery, they were placed under the protection of social services.
Once the fire that had broken out in the backyard of the house had been brought under control, the firefighters entered the interior. There they saw that the living room was covered in garbage, cigarette butts, food, dog food and animal droppings – while the kitchen had a wall covered in droppings and was littered with garbage and old food. Firefighters also observed what appeared to be human feces in the tub and garbage on the bathroom floor. They said they entered a downstairs room that had no beds and where clothes had been thrown on the floor, also covered with excrement and garbage.
