Hong Kong: disastrous start to the year, -10.4% in 15 days

(CercleFinance.com) – After a ‘black year’ (-15% in 2023), the Hong Kong stock market is off to a disastrous start to the year, with up to -4% in session this morning (-3.7% closing) for a cumulative decline of -10.4% in 15 days (10 sessions of decline out of 11 since January 2).
At 15,277, the Hang Seng index clearly breaks the support of 16,100 (here it is at its lowest since November 2, 2022) and seems well on its way to re-testing the major and crucial support of 14,600 of 10/31/ 2022.
