Horizon Forbidden West: A first preview has fallen with new gameplay images

Less than a month before its launch, Horizon Forbidden West finally allowed himself to be approached by a few journalists, who got the scoop on the first preview of the game. It is first of all IGN who was able to get their hands on the game through a 4-hour session, and the site has published its first impressions of this sequel which seems to correct almost all the faults of the first.

A big gameplay video to discover

Our colleagues fromIGN France translated this preview, and published a video made up of unpublished images, as well as snippets of an interview with Ben McCaw, narrative director on the game. The opportunity to finally see a few more gameplay extracts for the game , which has been pretty shy so far, and discovering an area that Aloy will pass through a tiny bit after the game starts, so no major spoilers in sight.

If we believe the words of the site, this second episode does everything better than the first, with more dynamic fights, more fluid animations, a staging of the dialogues a little less plan-plan, and a writing of the characters much more interesting. We can see a little more detail on the menus and the armament of Aloy, as well as fights in arenas which promise sacred challenges. We invite you to read the full preview on IGN for more details.

Horizon Forbidden West will be available from February 18, 2022. Pre-orders of the different editions of the game are open.
