Horizon Forbidden West: Video shows spectacular new machine monsters

Although Sony showed 14 minutes of gameplay from Horizon Forbidden West during a State of Play a few months ago, there hasn’t been much video footage showing the new machine monsters in detail. That is now changing – and the scenes are really impressive.

PlayStation shows new trailer for Horizon Forbidden West

On February 18, 2022 the time will finally come. On this day, Horizon Forbidden West is expected to be released for the PS4 and PS5. The action RPG is one of the games of the coming year that PlayStation players can hardly wait.

Compared to its predecessor, developer Guerilla Games has not only given Forbidden West improved graphics, but also integrated additional mechanics into the game – such as the glider that was shown in the big gameplay trailer.

Now a new video has been released that the new monsters of the PlayStation hit comes into focus and impressively proves that the studio has come up with a lot of new ideas. But just see for yourself:

Among other things to see: aggressive little robotic monkeys and majestic pterosaur machines. But the highlight of the new video should be the huge robo-snake represent, which draws its orbits over the sandy dunes.

Also seen in the new trailer: In addition to Aloy now appear also to be able to “tame” some NPCs the robots. At least there is one scene in the video in which they use the machines as mounts.

Developers show first pictures of the PS4 version

In the last few weeks and months there have only been recordings of the next-gen version of Horizon Forbidden West on the PS5 – the action role-playing game will also be released for the PS4. And thanks to the current console crisis, many gamers will likely continue Aloy’s next adventure on the old Sony console.

A few days ago, however, the developers also did shared first pictures taken on PS4 (Source: game tips). These show that the graphical differences between PS4 and PS5 are clearly visible – but the last-gen version doesn’t have to hide. However, it remains to be seen whether the successor can be just as enthusiastic as the four and a half year old original.
