Horror at Argenteuil hospital: after the death of two sexually assaulted nonagenarians, a suspect in police custody: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

On October 14, 2023, the Victor-Dupouy hospital in Argenteuil (Val-d’Oise) was the scene of a terrible affair: two women aged 93 and 95, residents of the geriatrics department, were sexually assaulted, then died shortly after their attack. One died of cardiac arrest a few hours later, and the other of a respiratory problem three days after the incident, according to information from The Gazette du Val-d’Oise. The alleged attacker, Samir B., aged 44, was arrested when leaving the room of the first victim 93 years old. This was not his first misdeed: in fact, he was already known to the authorities for previous sexual assaults. His arrest was made possible thanks to the security service of the Victor-Dupouy hospital, which had identified him following a possible previous intrusion. The second victim, aged 95, for her part, was able to testify to his attack before his death.

Renewed custody for the attacker

After being brought before court on October 16, 2023, Samir B. was placed under judicial supervision while awaiting his appearance in November. However, the prosecution was not satisfied with this decision and appealed, demanding his detention. On Tuesday October 24, Samir B. was arrested again, this time in the Val-d’Argent-Nord district in Argenteuil, reports The Parisian. The prosecutor, Pierre Sennès, assured our colleagues that he is following this case very closely, confirming that this arrest is part of new investigations. The investigation was opened for “sexual assault on vulnerable people”, and is in the hands of the Val-d’Oise departmental security. A big question remains: is there a correlation between assaults and deaths of the two victims? For the moment, links have not been made between the two events, but the current investigation, if it provides evidence, could change the nature of the charges brought against Samir B.
