Hot Wheels Unleashed was a pleasant surprise Last year. The Milestone title allowed you to drive small cars of Mattel in a simple, accessible but at the same time arcade racing game gameplay really fun, the game sold well, but the players wanted more.
The studios therefore unveiled a sequel a few months ago, and it intends to erase the flaws of the first part, particularly with regard to the content, which is quite limited. In Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbochargedthe developers thus promise improvements in gameplay, but also new features, including additional game modes and a story-driven campaign. Milestone details it all:
- NEW GAME MODES FOR EVEN MORE FUN
In Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, have fun in many ways! Whether it’s adrenaline-charged moments, challenges pushing you to use your skills to the fullest or merciless clashes, the game will offer you a variety of new modes that will bring you a breath of fresh air.
In addition to fans’ favorite modes from the first opus, five new game modes will enrich the racing experience. In the new Elimination mode, players will only be able to rely on their survival instinct, as the slowest vehicles will be eliminated gradually. Players will therefore have to pay attention to every detail: their pace, their position, the risks, as well as the moment when they must pass in front of their opponents. Drift enthusiasts, for their part, will be able to squeal their tires on the asphalt thanks to the Drift Master mode. Players will need to maintain style and precision to accumulate points and dominate the competition. Here, speed will play a secondary role, it will be necessary to favor the most agile vehicles since counter-steering and control of the accelerator will be the keys to victory.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will have five different environments and Maypoint mode will allow players to explore them all to discover their secrets. You will then have to abandon the orange slopes to immerse yourself in a completely new experience, in complete freedom. Also off the track, Grab the Gears mode will offer the perfect blend of skill, strategy and action. Finally, with Clash Derby mode, chaos will reign supreme! This ultimate online duel, reserved for Monster Trucks, will allow players to face their opponents by delivering the most powerful blows possible.
- A SCRIPTED CAMPAIGN TO SAVE THE CITY
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will bring players back to the city. Darla and Robert, the protagonists, accompanied by their robotic assistant XR046, will be called upon to save the day and restore peace after a wave of creatures are released by Professor Tanabe, by mistake. Players will be able to discover the personality of each character through animated scenes, immersing them in a narrative journey that will lead them to breathtaking fights with five bosses, in the objective of saving the city and its inhabitants!
When they’re not busy saving the city, players can relax and let their imagination run wild with Edit Mode, Track Builder Mode. The game will offer new modules to create the circuit of their dreams or explore the creations of the Hot Wheels community. A new sticker editor will also be available, itself integrated into the editing module, allowing fans to create, save and share their own shapes and designs.
