House of Cards star Kevin Spacey charged with sexually assaulting three men


This Thursday, May 26, Kevin Spacey was charged with sexual assault on three men. The House of Cards actor is once again in turmoil.

It’s a hell of a blow for the actor. This Thursday, May 26, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), which is equivalent to the British prosecution, announced that Kevin Spacey has been charged of four sexual assaults against three men : “The CPS has authorized criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, on four counts of sexual assault against three men,” said Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS’s Special Crimes Division in a statement. Indeed, Kevin Spacey is also “accused of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without their consent”. Information given which “follows a review of evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation”. The actor of House of Cards is therefore in the crosshairs of the justice system for facts which allegedly occurred between March 2005 and April 2013. According to information from BFM TVtwo charges would establish the facts of sexual assault in March 2005 in London on a person.

Another sexual assault allegedly took place in August 2008 on a second complainant. Finally, a third indictment reportedly relates to an attack in April 2013 on a third plaintiff. London police had opened an investigation after receiving several complaints of sexual assault. Some would have been committed in the Lambeth district, where the Old Vic theater is located, in which Kevin Spacey was artistic director. Following these accusations, the actor had also lost his first role in the famous series house of cards. Worse still, he had been ordered to pay more than 30 million euros in damages to the production company because of the losses linked to the scandal.
