Guido Maria Kretschmer interviewed Lady Gaga. As part of the new “House of Gucci” movie, they both talked about their passion for Italy – and what made their role so special.
Guido and Gucci – they don’t just go well together by name. In fact, Guido Maria Kretschmer has been following the history of the brand for decades. That is why this opportunity was something very special for the designer – he was able to relive the story up close. Guido was not only there for us at the premiere of the new film “House of Gucci”, he was also allowed to interview the two main actors in person!
Guido Maria Kretschmer has been a fan of Lady Gaga since he heard her first song on the radio. Now the singer Guido has impressed most of all with her acting skills. In the film she slips into the role of Patrizia Reggiani, wife of the Gucci heir Maurizio. “I worked very hard because the film deserved it,” said Lady Gaga in an interview. “It’s a real life story and someone died in it, you know. When you work with a story like that, I think you should honor them. “
Her own Italian roots and her love for the country played a very special role in the production, as Lady Gaga Guido tells us. She herself didn’t want to portray an American-Italian woman, as she might know from home – but a real Italian. She had the help of a supporter on set who became her best friend during the filming: “My love and relationship with Italy were helpful. I love Italian people. I want to thank everyone there with whom I was in contact,” enthuses Lady Gaga.
