House of the Dragon: ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-off star compares the series to Shakespeare

“Game of Thrones” fans are already looking forward to the new fantasy series “House of the Dragon”. Now actor Ryan Corr, who has a role in the HBO series, has compared working on the series to William Shakespeare.

The sets of the fantasy series are said to be so overwhelming that Corr felt like he was in a real-life version of a Shakespearean play. “The whole size of the [Projekts] impressed me,” says Corr in an interview with the film magazine If.com.

When you’ve entered a full set, with actual tournaments and life-size castles with fire baskets hanging from the roof, it’s already an incredible place. It’s like stepping into a real-life version of a Shakespearean play.

Corr’s euphoria about the sets fuels anticipation. The set and costume designs for “Game of Thrones” were already extremely impressive. However, when we will be able to enjoy “House of the Dragon” is still not known.

We assume that the US broadcaster HBO and the streaming service HBO Max will start in spring or summer 2022. In Germany, “House of the Dragon” and “Game of Thrones” will come to Sky.
