Burnt and stubborn crusts are difficult to remove from the baking sheet. These home remedies make cleaning easier.

Dirty and crusty baking trays are not uncommon. Some shy away from the annoying cleaning work, others don't know how to best clean the sheet metal. These home remedies make cleaning the tin a breeze.

vinegar

Vinegar should be available in most households and is the ideal helper for light soiling. Rub a small amount of vinegar on the baking sheet and "bake" for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Thoroughly rinse off the dissolved residues and the sheet metal is clean again.

lemon

The acids in the citrus fruit help loosen incrustations. It is advisable to coat the baking sheet with the lemon juice and a little water and then to put it in the oven at 120 degrees. After a while, the dirt can be easily wiped off with a kitchen towel.

baking powder

The classic among the crust removers is the baking powder. Depending on the degree of encrustation, dissolve half a packet to a whole packet in water. In the case of light soiling, it is sufficient to dip the sponge in the solution and run it over the dirty areas. To get rid of stubborn crusts, pour the mixture onto the baking sheet and let it soak overnight. Empty the next day and rinse with clean water.

Baking soda

Baking soda is even more effective than baking powder; the application works in a similar way. Just five grams, diluted with a little water, are enough to remove dirt from the tray at 100 degrees in the oven. Again, wipe off the residue with a cloth.

salt

Spread common table salt on the tray and heat it at 50 degrees. The salt will change color after 30 to 60 minutes. This is the ideal time to take out the tray to remove salt and dirt with a rag.
