How Android Improves on Windows 11 with the March Update

Good news: the Windows subsystem for Android has taken advantage of its latest update to benefit from new improvements.

While Windows 11 should soon be able to sync iPhones, the operating system continues to slowly but surely improve.

When WSA noticeably improves its performance

Last month, Microsoft gave a big boost to Android performance on Windows 11. On this occasion, the American giant took the opportunity to boost performance by around 50% on devices with Intel or AMD processors. Let us recall in passing that the WSA (for Windows Subsystem for Android) was deployed at the launch of Windows 11, in 2021, and that it offers its customers the possibility of running, from their computer, Android applications available in the Amazon Appstore.

Two days ago, the Redmond company announced new changes for the Windows Subsystem for Android to Insider members.

A new update for the Windows Subsystem for Android

WSA update 2302.4000, which has just been deployed, mainly improves stability, audio issues and security. Here is the full list of changes made with theupdate of the month of March:

• Graphics card selection stability improvements
• Updates to the Windows Subsystem Settings app for Android to include performance options for graphics cards
• Docking and undocking issues with external monitors fixed with subsystem
• Fixes for apps with audio buffering issues
• Android 13 security updates

If we should not expect, for the moment at least, major changes related to functionality, it is clear that Microsoft is working to gradually improve the experience with WSA. Enough to ensure better functioning of Android applications on Windows 11.
