Hidden behind the scale of the fighting, a real war of hidden networks is in full swing on Russian and Ukrainian territories. Secret actions, sometimes aided by the West, which are of capital importance to regain the upper hand in this conflict which has lasted for almost ten months.
As the war in Ukraine heads into its tenth month, the artillery battles and the huge casualties on both sides reveal the power of the means deployed by the Ukrainian and Russian armies. Two armies whose officers who face each other on the ground know perfectly the formations and the tactical reflexes of each other, for having very often shared the same military schools from the USSR such as those of Kharkiv. In this context, secret military or elimination actions take on particular importance and reveal the extent of hidden networks.
A Ukrainian advantage, thanks to the West
Their activity appears through actions, for example regular explosions of fuel depots in Russian territory or the attack last August of an air base in Crimea which allowed the destruction of eight fighter planes. The targeted eliminations of pro-Russian officials in the occupied territories, more than twenty since February, are also another manifestation of their work. Not to mention the strange death in a violent car accident on Wednesday of one of the heads of the Russian administration in Kherson.
These actions are the result of work between Ukrainian and Western services, which makes it possible to avoid any attempts at intrusion by Russian services, which are very present in the country through sleeper cells which themselves rub shoulders with the many Western sleeper cells.
A strange situation caused by the situation in Ukraine, a buffer zone between Russia, the West and NATO since its independence. This secret war, cleverly concealed behind the scale of the fighting, gives Ukraine a big advantage today. Since the start of the invasion, the effects of surprise have mainly given the advantage to the forces of kyiv.
