Gabriel Attal open to the idea of promoting MoDem and Horizons deputies
“Gabriel Attal must rebalance his government, the survival of the majority is at stake” asserts a deputy from the left wing, very angry against this reshuffle. These elected officials expect the Prime Minister to appoint figures marked on the left during the second wave of appointments, that of secretaries of state, which should take place this week.
The MoDem and Horizons, the party of Édouard Philippe, who feel under-represented, also hope to obtain more ministerial portfolios. According to information from Europe 1, Gabriel Attal would be open to the idea of promoting deputies, who showed their loyalty during the immigration bill.
The substance of the issues also worries elected officials. “No more with immigration, we need to talk about housing or purchasing power” assures a Renaissance elected official. Emmanuel Macron’s intervention on Tuesday and that of Gabriel Attal next week will therefore be closely scrutinized, because the threat of an implosion of the majority has never been so strong.
