Safe, secure, warm, peaceful, simply good – that's what it feels like when we are with people we love. True love is probably the strongest and most beautiful force there is. It makes us strong, mild and happy. But is the presence of a close confidante, the presence of love perhaps also noticeable in our appearance, our appearance? To be more precise: does love change us externally? And if so: how?
Emotional experiment: this is how people react to love
This is exactly what the operators of the international dating platform "Sentimente" wanted to find out and initiated an exciting experiment: First, they had different people – their test subjects – pose and photograph portraits in a neutral context. After this photo session, the models received a surprise Video messages with emotional messages of people (or animals …) who are close to them: partner, best friends, family (for some participants it was the pet …).
The moment the test subjects received their surprise and saw their loved ones, the photographer Mihnea Ratte pressed the shutter button again – and portrayed his models in a moment of love and affection.
Love relaxes and makes you happy
All the before-and-after photos show a clear difference between the two situations: While the test subjects in the first picture tend to appear distant and sometimes appear slightly tense (like most people who are not often in front of the camera), they see all of them on the second, lovingly provided photo look relaxed, relaxed, personable and completely happy.
And what do we conclude from this? Looks like love changes us not only internally but also externally, especially our charisma. So it can't hurt to always have a little love with you – in case someone happens to want to photograph us … ?
