Among these changes, we also include the price of the consultation with the doctor approved by Health Insurance. Until now, a medical visit to a general practitioner cost the patient 25 euros. From Wednesday November 1, 2023, this rate increases by 1.50 euros and thus rises to 26.50 euros in France. In overseas departments and regions, the increase is 1.80 euros, thus increasing to 26.80 euros.
What does not change, however, is that this consultation is still reimbursed by Social Security at 70% and 30% by complementary health insurance if the patient has one. A small increase which in itself does not change much for patients, but which is insufficient, according to health professionals. “1.50 euros is totally insufficient.
